Jasmine

Jasmine is one of the most potent aromas, used extensively in perfumes. It is considered sensual, playful, intimate, said to elevate the spiritual psyche.  Jasmine has been used by many cultures as an anointing oil and an offering to deities and spirits.

Jasminum grandiflorum L. possesses a rich floral tea-like aroma, somewhat sweet with a musky honey undertone.

Jasminum sambac (L.) possesses a similar aroma a little more tenacious, fruitier and greener than grandiflorum.
